Natural England - Norfolk & The Sinkhole That Swallowed a Bus

We used the quirky story of the number 38 bus falling into a hole, to introduce the surprisingly interesting topic of geology.

We devised the animation following a workshop with the Natural England team and a visit to the scene to the location of the terrifying incident.

The animation was voiced by Norfolk voice actor, Karl Theobald. Who has starred The Green Wing, Plebs and Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa.

Natural England - The Chronicles of Dudley

Working with Dudley’s own Sir Lenny Henry to voice this animation was definitely a career highlight. Here we tell the story of Dudley’s relationship with industry and geology as an epic yarn, spanning millions of years.

To research the script, we visited Wren’s Nest Nature Reserve in Dudley and worked with the fantastic Geologists at Natural England.

Natural England - Peterborough - Beyond Biodiversity

The 3rd of our Geology themed animations, tells of how an area’s biodiversity is influenced by it’s geology. The animation is set in the beautiful nature reserves at Swaddywell and Barnack Hills and Holes.

When we visited to the area, Natural England told us of the story how John Clare used to visit Swaddywell and wrote poems about the area so we included him and a few lines of his poetry in the animation.

The animations is voiced by the brilliant comedian Josie Long, who he first worked with when we were producers at the BBC.
